Speaker Bio

Chiara is an aeronautical engineer with over 15 years of international experience in air traffic management system development, integration and commissioning. She currently leads Leonardo’s engineering organisation for Air Traffic Management Systems, driving software and hardware design, product engineering, R&D, verification & validation, on-site deployments, and 24/7 operational support for safety-critical ATM solutions.
In her role, Chiara balances multidisciplinary technical delivery with governance and strategic alignment, integrating SESAR innovation and compliance with regulatory standards from ICAO, EUROCONTROL and EASA. She ensures successful deployment and operation of complex ATM systems across multiple ANSPs, advancing digitalisation, interoperability, and trajectory-based operations in live operational environments.
She has worked across several countries and civil aviation programmes, contributing to the evolution of European and global ATM systems.
