Speaker Bio

Dr. Tsvetan Penev holds a PhD in Aviation Data and Databases and a Master’s degree in Mathematics with Computer Science from the Technical University of Darmstadt. He began his career with a short stay at EUROCONTROL, contributing to compression algorithms, XML-based data processing and geospatial services, as well as early evaluations related to AIXM 5 and xNOTAM. In 2007, he joined the Technical University of Darmstadt as a research associate at the Institute of Flight Systems and Automatic Control, focusing on aviation databases, geospatial information and data compression for more than five years.
In 2013, he joined the Indra Group in Germany, where he started as SWIM Product Manager. In 2016, he took on the role of Head of Product Management for the aeronautical information product lines, contributing to the evolution of AIM and SWIM capabilities.
He currently serves as ATM Director of Indra Group Germany, leading the global Aeronautical Information business. In this role, he drives international business growth, defines market expansion strategies, and fosters strategic partnerships with ANSPs and aviation authorities worldwide.
