In summer 2024, weather-related events emerged as a significant challenge causing 47% of all ATFM delays between June- August inclusive. To address this issue, substantial improvements are necessary for the management of weather in the network for Summer 2025 and beyond. This will involve adopting a more network-oriented approach to weather management, to enhance the network pre-tactical plan to make better weather management at the heart of ATFM.
