The joint team of ProofIT as a software test automation expert company, and HungaroControl as the hungarian ANSP together explains why automated ATM system level regression testing is an industry milestone achievement and why it is believed that it could revolutionize development processes, greatly enhance resilience and help preventing tech failures in an ever changing ATM world.
The presentation introduces how – after years of R&D – the ProofIT and HungaroControl joint team managed to make automated ATM system level regression testing a reality. It introduces why the ATM system level software testing is important and what problems the ANSP, integrator and manufacturer companies face during their testing. It summarizes the experiences and advantages of automated testing based on HungaroControl end-user use cases that takes into account the business aspects of the end-user compared to manual testing, and the live operational experiences from the last year.
After the first introduction of the topic last year in Geneva Airspace World 2024, in this session we will also focus on the progress since then, how the second and the third different ATM Systems and vendors are under test now, how we managed to construct portable testcases between systems, vendors, technologies and countries, and how we tackle with compliance and test coverage issues.
Based on last year’s experiences we expect a tuned audience from all three affected stakeholder types: ANSPs, integrators and ATM vendor companies.
