Patricia Vitalis is COO at The Royal Schiphol Group and a member of the ExCom since February 2023. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of airport operations, including compliance with international and national health, safety and environmental regulations. As the Accountable Manager, she oversees the airport’s operational safety and is the Chair of the Integral Safety Management System (ISMS). She thrives collaboration with all partners to continuously improve airport performance on all operational processes, making use of data and AI.
Before that Patricia was Director Airport Operations & Aviation Partnerships. She joined The Royal Schiphol Group in 2001 as an Advisor on Environmental Capacity. Over her two-decade career at Schiphol, she has held several key positions, building considerable expertise in the aviation industry. She is widely recognised for her skills in process management, capacity management, organisational development and operational excellence.
Patricia holds a degree of Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology, along with additional certifications in IATA Safety Management in Civil Aviation, The Challenge of Leadership at Rotterdam School of Management, Six Sigma, Strategic Communication, and Program for Commissioners and Supervisors at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
