Mark Cooper is responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight of operational technology, information management and cyber security.
Mr. Cooper is responsible for providing leadership to a diverse group of over 1500 employees across Canada who provide mission critical services; and developing and maintaining technologies that support the safe and efficient movement of air traffic.
Prior to joining NAV CANADA, Mr. Cooper was a Partner with Deloitte UK where he led the global Aviation technology business, after an 18-year career with Lockheed Martin. At Lockheed Martin, Mr. Cooper was the Managing Director of the Global Aviation organisation responsible for services and solutions deployed to over 100 clients worldwide across the Air Traffic Management, Airport and Airline domains.
Mr. Cooper holds an Honours degree in Physics and Computing, and serves as a Director of Aireon. He served on the Executive Committee of CANSO (Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation) from 2017 to 2019 and the CANSO Supervisory Board from 2020 to present day. He also served as a director of the TechUK trade association from 2012 to 2017.
