Karl Wannenmacher graduated from University of Applied Sciences “Technikum Wien” in 2002 with a degree in Electronics and a specialisation in Computer and Software Engineering.
He brings a strong background in professional software engineering. He started his career as Software Engineer and Project Manager at ace GmbH where he was responsible for project management, design, implementation, and integration of individual software solutions for customers in the DACH region. Karl has been working at Frequentis since 2005, holding various management positions within the Frequentis research and development (R&D) organisation. He has profound know-how in designing and implementing complex systems and products for international customers in safety-critical domains and leading large engineering organisations. Since 2010, he has been a member of the Frequentis Technology Management Board. 2013, he took over the position of Head of Public Safety Product Design and Development. From 2020 he was Director of Public Safety Products. Since 1 July 2024, Karl Wannenmacher is a member of the Frequentis Executive Board and has been leading the R&D and technology activities of the Frequentis Group as Chief Technology Officer.
