Enrique Maurer

General Director

Enrique Maurer is an accomplished professional with a background in Aeronautical Engineering and extensive experience in the aviation industry. As the Director General of ENAIRE, he combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive success in air navigation services.
Enrique began his career in structural calculation at Dragados y Construcciones before moving on to process management at DHL. He joined Aena in 1994, starting in the Radio Navigation Aids Department.
Throughout his tenure at Aena, Enrique took on progressively challenging roles, including leading the Satellite Navigation Certification Department and overseeing the Verification and Infrastructures Division. In 2012, he assumed the role of Director of Air Traffic Management Systems before being appointed as the Director of Air Navigation Services in April 2017.
In 2024, he was awarded with the Grand Cross of Aeronautical Merit with a white distinction by the Spanish Air and Space Force.
In February 2025, he was honored by the Official College of Aeronautical Engineers of Spain as “Engineer of the Year 2025.”
