Eduardo García, PhD

Senior Manager Future Skies

Dr Eduardo García is Senior Manager, Future Skies at CANSO, where he drives innovation across the organisation’s programmes and leads global efforts to shape the future of Air Traffic Management (ATM). Eduardo is actively involved with ICAO on a range of topics, particularly those concerning emerging technologies. He serves as the co-Chair of the Aviation System Block Upgrades (ASBU) Panel Project Team and is the Co-Rapporteur of the ICAO Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Vision group.

His work has been recognised with several prestigious awards, including the SESAR Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the HALA! (Higher Automation Levels in ATM) Research Network, and both the Safety Award in Mechanical Engineering and the Derek George Astridge Safety in Aerospace Award from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK).

He holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering (Cum Laude), specialising in Air Traffic Management, and an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering with a focus on Air Navigation from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).
