As an answer to evolving customer needs and to the current challenges of air traffic management in Switzerland, just like in Europe, Skyguide was among the first Air Navigation Service Provider to move towards operating a Virtual Centre. Currently in the touchdown phase of this major transformation, we look back on our journey as a first mover and share our key learnings, challenges and achievements so far around balancing daily operations with innovation, introducing new technology in a safety-critical environment, navigating a complex regulatory and financial framework, or coping with external uncertainty and volatility.
