Triona joined the SESAR Joint Undertaking in 2013 as Senior Communications Officer, where she is responsible for project and members’ communications coordination, editorial and content creation, social media and digital communications.

Nil Agacdiken: Walking Tour Guide

Nil is a Programme Panager at SESAR Joint Undertaking responsible from the air-ground integration flagship projects including Trajectory Based Operations. She has 27 years of experience in EUROCONTROL in various expert roles in aeronautical information management and in project management.

Olivia Nunez: Walking Tour Guide

Olivia is the Head of the Technology and Master Planning Team at the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking. She has been an aviation professional for over thirty years, including a twenty-year operational background as an en-route and approach air traffic controller. She has been working in the ATM R&D domain since 2012, where she has been deeply involved in the development of the global TBO concept at ICAO level.

Ramon Raposo: Walking Tour Guide

Ramón Raposo is an aerospace professional with a diverse skill set and a passion for innovation in air traffic management. Holding an MBA and a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Ramón brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic vision to his role as Monitoring and Execution Coordinator at SESAR Deployment Manager. In this capacity, he is responsible for synchronizing, coordinating, and monitoring the CEF-funded Implementation Projects overseen by SDM, as well as overseeing the progress of the SESAR Deployment Programme implementation. With his deep understanding of both the operational and technical aspects of the aviation industry, Ramón plays a crucial role in modernising Europe’s airspace management systems.

Peter Hotham: Walking Tour Guide

Peter is the SESAR 3 JU’s advisor for ATM Science and Technology, having been with the JU since 2008 and in that time having occupied many different roles. Peter graduated in ‘Maths, Technology & Aerospace Studies’, has a Post Graduate Diploma in ‘Computing for Commerce & Industry’ and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He has over 40 years of experience in the design and operation of safety critical Air Traffic Management at airports, control centres and their respective infrastructure. During this time. he has undertaken a number of roles including research, system design, project management and architecture across a range of aviation safety related operations and systems, as well as holding senior management positions in technology, architecture and business strategy.

Robin Garrity: Walking Tour Guide

Robin is the Senior External Affairs Officer at the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking, based in Brussels, Belgium, where he has worked for 11 years. Robin is a former air traffic controller from the United Kingdom and has been involved with the integration of unmanned aircraft with manned aviation for more than 20 years. As an ATM Expert in the SESAR JU, he was instrumental in designing the European Union’s ground-breaking U-space programme and has been intimately involved with that programme ever since. He is co-Rapporteur of the Guidance Development Working Group in ICAO’s Advanced Air Mobility Study Group and UAS Advisory Group.

Adriano Acanfora: Walking Tour Guide

In SESAR Joint Undertaking since March 2023 covering the ATM Expert role as Technology & Strategy Program Officer. I am currently assigned to projects dealing with Virtual Centre, DAC/DCB enhancement, Civil-military cooperation, Multimodality and Passenger Experience as well as AI applied to aviation. Former Officer of Italian Airforce, my background was in the ATM/AIM filed primarily as ATCO and ATC/AIS Unit Chief.

José Luis Avendaño

Colonel Jose Luis Enrique Avendaño Hurtado is an officer in active duty of the Colombian Air Force and is commissioned to the Civil Aviation Authority of Colombia as the deputy director.
Colonel Avendaño was born on November 2nd, 1976. Joined the Air Force on January 11th, 1994. He graduated as a Aeronautic Administrator in 1997 and then worked as helicopter pilot and fixed wing pilot of the Colombia Air Force for more than 20 years.
During his career, Colonel Avendaño occupied several positions specially in operational areas, for example in aeromedical evacuation and search and rescue.
From 2019 to 2021 he was appointed as Deputy commander and chief of staff at Military Air Transport Command.
From November 2021 to January 2023 served as Director of Air Navigation Operations of the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority.

Erki Meinberg

Véronique Travers Sutter

Véronique is an aeronautical engineer with over 25 years of experience in CNS avionics, trajectory management and certification expertise. She was previously working for Airbus where she was leading the Sesar programme contribution and more recently serving as Head of Airbus’ transformation and system integration. Now part of EUROCONTROL NM team, she is the head of iCNS team, focusing maintaining, evolving and implementing the iCNS strategy and objectives. Together with her new team, she will be working on European CNS infrastructure projects, products (…) supporting the technical performance of the European CNS infrastructure. This also includes coordinating the allocation of pan-European scarce resources, such as spectrum and radio frequency bands, etc. and working closely with the SESAR Deployment Manager (SDM) and the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking on research and innovation and on supporting the ATM Master Plan.
