Chris Norsworthy

Chris is accountable for NATS’ work on airspace modernisation and our future operational concepts as well as supporting wider operational change across systems and tools. In addition, he maintains oversight of SESAR activities and aspects of our Military engagement to ensure we deliver aligned solutions. Chris joined NATS in 2005, initially as an ATCO in London Terminal Control before taking on a number of roles in project design, development and delivery across airspace and systems. He has also previously held operational management roles overseeing Terminal and Area Control Operations.

Mildred Troegeler

Mildred Troegeler is the executive liaison to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In this role, she works closely with ICAO and the International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations (ICCAIA) on global and regional initiatives for a safer and more sustainable aerospace ecosystem. As director of Global Regulatory Strategy for Boeing Chief Aerospace Safety Office she also leads a diverse and global team that develops and operationalizes key global regulatory and policy strategies across the enterprise. Most recently, Troegeler has served as director of Global Airspace Integration for Boeing NeXt, a business division dedicated to building a safe, sustainable and seamless future mobility ecosystem.
Previously, Troegeler served as the director of Technical & Regulatory Affairs for Boeing Europe. In that role, she was responsible for representing Boeing interests with all European institutions, most notably the European Commission, European Aviation Safety Agency and the European Parliament. Before Boeing, she was the technical and operations general manager at the Association of European Airlines (AEA). Troegeler also shaped space policies at the United Nations as a legal and policy advisor to the German Aerospace Center.
Troegeler holds a law degree with a specialization in economics and competition law from the University of Bonn; and a postgraduate Master of Laws in air and space law from the University of Leiden. She is a board member of the NATO Maritime Unmanned Systems Innovation Advisory Board.

Cheryl Yen-Chun Chen

Ms Cheryl Chen is a tower-rated air traffic controller and has worked at Taipei and SongShang Control Tower before being repositioned as a safety officer for Air Navigation and Weather Services, the ANSP in Taiwan.
She is currently undergoing her radar training at Taipei Enroute Control Center.
She has been actively involved with IFATCA’s regional events and has been passionately advocating for gender equity in aviation.
She also helped initiate the IFATCA Speaking English Program, which is now widely utilized by many pilots and ATCs to keep up their aviation English speaking ability.
Cheryl was elected as IFATCA North Asia regional vice president in 2019, and later on took up the role as IFATCA EVP for Asia Pacific Region from 2021.
Before joining the aviation industry, she received her academic training in social psychology and sociology from the University of Cambridge, which led to her keen interest in human performance and safety.

Maurizio Terrenzio

Maurizio Terrenzio graduated with honors from the University of Studies of L’Aquila.
He has been working in Techno Sky for about 13 years as a computer engineer in ATM applications, being involved in the design, development and commissioning of systems for ATM training and operations.
Maurizio works in collaboration with a team of expert Air Traffic Controllers and software engineers, in order to fully satisfy the operational needs and to provide engineered solutions.

Mark Balsdon

Having joined NATS in 2008 Mark has been involved in several complex solution initiatives. In his current role as Hd New Airspace Users, BD and Partnerships Mark and his team act as client relationship managers with the Industry, working proactively with New Airspace Users, Government Agencies & Renewables users to facilitate the delivery of data driven information solutions to overcome aviation issues. Mark is also working on a number of commercial UTM Projects and Airspace initiatives, including strategic solution delivery, collaborations and developing strong working relationships across the Urban Air Mobility and BVLOS sector to enable day 1 flights and deliver safe, scalable and sustainable services for the industry to grow.

Kristen Richmond

Kristen Richmond was appointed EU Government Affairs Managing Director in August 2022.
In this role, Richmond will represent the company’s interests with European Union institutions, international organisations, suppliers and partners in the region with a focus on commercial aviation issues.
As part of Boeing’s European team, she will contribute to the strong connections and solid relationships with stakeholders across the region and support policies that advance the EU economy, promote sustainable growth, and contribute to a safe, innovative and competitive aerospace system that connects EU citizens and businesses.
Richmond brings to Brussels over 30 years of private and public sector experience in policy, law and international business.
Prior to her current position, she served in various key strategic and executive positions across Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Boeing International, Boeing Capital Corporation, as well as at Microsoft, the American Heart Association and the U.S. Senate, where she started her policy career as legislative aide in Washington, D.C.
Richmond graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law and practiced law for five years before returning to her work in policy. She is a member of the bar in both Alaska and Washington state. She earned a bachelor’s degree in European history and diplomacy from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.

Klaus Affholderbach

Dr Klaus Affholderbach brings more than 20 years of management experience and know-how from the aviation industry.
Klaus joined Skyguide, the Swiss ANSP, back in 2001 as Capacity Engineer. In 2002, he became Chief of Staff to the Director Operations.
During his time at Skyguide, he made a significant contribution to the development and establishment of a positrive safety and corporate culture.
From 2018 to 2023, he was a member of the Executive Board of the Swiss air navigation service provider Skyguide, where he was responsible for safety, security, quality and risk management.
He has chaired national and international committees, including the Operations Consultation Group , the Agency Advisory Board at EUROCONTROL, the European CANSO Performance Group and most recently the European Group of Safety Directors in CANSO.

Klaus Affholderbach holds a doctorate in high-energy physics and is a certified systemic coach from the European Business School (EBS).
Klaus has left Skyguide by the end of 2023 to build his own business.
He supports Executives and Leadership teams as well as organisations, during transformation processes and helps them to build a supportive and resilient corporate culture.
Today, successful change processes and transformations are the exception rather than the rule.
Traditional approaches to change management are no longer sufficient.
Resilience at an organizational level is the basic prerequisite for not only surviving – but emerging stronger – from times of crisis.

Ricardo Martínez González

Graduated in september 1989 as an air traffic controller, from 1990 to 1993 worked as an aerodrome controller at three airports in Cuba, among them the José Martí Intl. in the city of Havana, which is the main airport in the country. At the end of 1993, after receiving a training course in Mexico, started working as a controller at the Havana Área Control Centre, in which transited from the category of Assistant, to Área by procedures, Área by surveillance and finally, Terminal by surveillance.
From the year 2000 combined its controller duties with safety management, participating in investigations of events and incidents and also receivied several training courses in Mexico and Malaysia. Already in 2010, started working as an ATM specialist for the ANSP, been promoted in 2015 to senior ATM specialist. In July 2017, once ECNA was created, was appointed as Operations Manager, which is its current responsibility.
Have been member of task forces and working groups for ICAO as the PoC for the GTE working group from 2012 to 2018, ATFM and PBN groups from 2016 to 2018 and also for CANSO as the ANSP PoC for the CADENA group since its foundation in Havana City.

Harrison Wolf

Harrison Wolf is the senior program lead for Advanced Aviation at the Flight Safety Foundation leading work and community engagement on next-generation airspace, Advanced Air Mobility and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems. Prior to joining the Flight Safety Foundation, Harrison was the Director for Global Aviation Policy at Zipline International and led the global drone and AAM portfolio at the World Economic Forum. Harrison wrote the first drone safety textbook entitled “Drones: Safety Risk Management for the Next Evolution of Flight” and continues to support international commercial operations around the globe while teaching safety focused course work at the University of Southern California’s Aviation Safety & Security Program.

Paolo Nasetti

Executive Controller in the Enroute and Terminal sectors of the Milan ACC, responsible for all operational training activities and then held the position of Operations Supervisor and Operations Room Chief. From 2007 to 2011 Director of the Milan ACC.
Since 2012 Executive Director of ENAV’s En-Route Operations where I realized a complete overhaul of the national airspace aimed at increasing capacity with customer-oriented solutions to reduce CO2 emissions.
Since 2019 Director of the new ATM System Evolution and Strategic Services Planning department with the role of defining the service provision modalities by identifying the necessary technological enablers in both TWR and ACC domains, including Remote Towers.
