Speaker Bio

De Wei Lim is an operational Air Traffic Control Officer, with more than 12 years of experience in the enroute sector. He had ratings in both procedural and surveillance control and is a qualified On-Job-Training Instructor (OJTI) and Unit Check Controller (UCC). He helps to train new ATCO trainees, while also helping to conduct proficiency checks to maintain the necessary standards in the operational unit. He is also Search and Rescue (SAR) rated and assist in the provision of SAR services within the Singapore FIR.
Mr. Lim was the project lead from CAAS in the Multi-Regional Trajectory-Based Operations from 2020 – 2022 where he was responsible for designing the operational scenarios together with the project partners to validate the operational values of TBO. He is also representing International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Association (IFATCA) as a member of the ICAO ATM Requirements and Performance Panel (ATMRPP), which is the technical panel in ICAO developing the ICAO global TBO concept.
