Airbus Engineering Senior Manager

Thierry HARQUIN is the Airbus Engineering Senior Manager responsible for ATM International Cooperation and SESAR Deployment within the Airbus ATM Program. He serves as the SESAR Contribution Manager, utilizing his extensive avionics experience. As the Airbus focal point for the IRIS Program, he works with ESA, Viasat, ESSP, and other stakeholders to introduce IRIS in airlines. Since 2015, he has set up ATM cooperation projects with airlines, airports, and Air Navigation Service Providers globally, focusing on deploying SESAR solutions for Airbus fleet to benefit customer airlines. He was a key figure in the Very Large Scale Demonstration project in Europe, involving 100 aircraft, 7 airlines, and 4 ANSPs, focusing on 4D Trajectory Based Operations.
Previously, Thierry led the team supporting Airbus sales and marketing activities related to Aircraft Systems and options. From 2010 to 2016, he represented Airbus at AEEC (ARINC standards) and served on the AEEC Executive Committee. His career began in 1987 as an integration engineer on flight controls for the A320 and A330/A340 programs. He also spent five years at CAE Electronics in Montreal, specializing in avionics functions and simulations for full flight simulators. Thierry holds a French Aeronautics Engineer diploma from ENSICA and a Master in Business Management from IAE Toulouse.
