Speaker Bio

Mike is the Vice-Chair of Prospect’s ATCOs’ Branch, the union representing almost 100% of the air traffic controllers working in the UK along with several hundred other employees in ATM across the country. He is an operational ATCO qualified for 30 years in Terminal Control at London Centre, controlling in the airspace over London and the South East of England.

Mike is a board member of the Alliance and has been active in the union since 2007, holding various positions including Chair of his unit Section and Chair of both Terms & Conditions and Working Practices. With a particular focus on fatigue and FRMS systems, he has extensive experience in negotiating new rostering patterns and resourcing agreements to help facilitate service and project delivery at both tower and radar centre facilities.
