Airspace World opens with a strong strategic tone across all five theatres, reflecting the industry’s shift from vision to delivery. But what defines Tuesday is not just ambition — it’s how that ambition unfolds across the day, from leadership priorities through to operational and technological implementation.
The day begins in the Integra Theatre with a flagship CANSO CEO Conversation: ATM Modernisation Across Diverse Fiscal Models (10:30–11:20). Bringing together global ANSP leaders, the session addresses one of the most fundamental challenges facing the industry — how transformation is funded in practice. From corporate to state-funded models, the discussion explores how investment strategies and financial frameworks are shaping the pace and scope of modernisation.
From there, attention shifts to the Boeing Theatre for The Role of the ATM Sector in the Strategic Outlook of European Aviation (12:00–12:50). Taking a system-wide perspective, the session positions ATM as a central enabler of capacity, sustainability and resilience, highlighting how closely aligned stakeholders must be as Europe navigates regulatory reform and growing demand.
The early afternoon moves into operational delivery in the Frequentis Theatre with Operationalising Space Transport Operations in Shared Airspace (13:00–13:50). As launch and re-entry activity increases, this session explores how space operations are already being integrated into day-to-day airspace management. With input from operators, ANSPs and regulators, the focus is on real-world coordination, data sharing and the move toward more predictive, performance-based operations.
Later in the afternoon, the focus turns to collaboration and safety in the Integra Theatre with Working Together to Create a Collaborative Culture for Safe and Resilient Integrated Airspace (14:00–14:50). As airspace becomes more complex, the session explores how civil, military and unmanned aviation stakeholders can work together more effectively — and how cultural, regulatory and technological change must align to support safe, resilient operations.
The day concludes with a forward-looking perspective in the Viasat Theatre with EU’s Roadmap Towards the New Service Delivery Model (15:00–15:50). Focusing on Europe’s transition towards a more modular, digital and service-based ATM ecosystem, the session explores how cloud-enabled architectures, interoperability and new governance models will reshape how services are delivered in the years ahead.
Samantha Hawrysko, Airspace World Content Manager, said: “Tuesday is structured to reflect how transformation actually happens in practice — from strategic direction through to operational and technological delivery.
“What’s important is not just the individual topics, but how they connect across the day to show a coherent path towards integrated, future-ready airspace.”
