Michael McCormick

Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the Air Traffic Management Program

Michael McCormick is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the Air Traffic Management Program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Additionally, Michael holds a PhD from the George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government. He retired as Vice President, Management Services in the Federal Aviation Administration Air Traffic Organization. His portfolio included labor, contracts, fiscal budget, business services, communications, strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, administrative services, talent and resource policy, and employee development.
Michael’s education includes a Bachelor of Science, Aviation Management and a Master of Business Administration. Michael received the Secretary of Transportation Gold Medal, the Department of Transportation War on Terrorism Medal and US Ambassador Certificate of Merit for his service in Iraq. Additionally, Michael is the recipient of the Secretary of Transportation’s 9-11 Medal for his actions on September 11, 2001.
