With over 31 years of experience in aviation, Dragos is a seasoned leader and strategic visionary in air traffic management. His career began with hands-on operational expertise as an air traffic controller, underpinned by academic degrees in both Computer Science and Business Administration. Today, he spearheads iNEO, EUROCONTROL’s flagship initiative driving the integration of space transportation operations (STO) and other new entrants into the aviation ecosystem, shaping the future interface between air and space operations.

A longtime chair of ICAO’s Air Traffic Management Operations Panel (ATMOPSP), Dragos led the panel to deliver in key areas such as civil–military cooperation, global air traffic flow management (ATFM), and contingency planning, laying critical groundwork for STO integration. He continues to play a leading role in international efforts to adapt airspace management and the global ATM system to meet the evolving challenges of high-altitude and space operations.
