Speaker Bio

Blake has over 30 years of experience in Air Traffic Management, having started as an ATCO with NATS in London Terminal Control before joining NAV CANADA. Subsequent roles were as an approach controller and tower supervisor at Vancouver International, followed by a move to head office. Blake became the national lead on airspace modernisation and PBN deployment and held roles with both ICAO and CANSO on various panels related to airspace & procedures, noise management and environmental initiatives. In a move back to operations, Blake became General Manager of Toronto FIR before taking on his current role where he has been involved in the NAV Canada TBO & iTEC projects from the outset.
