Senior Vice President of Legislative & Regulatory Policy

Sharon Pinkerton is Senior Vice President of Legislative and Regulatory Policy at Airlines for America, a role she has held since February 2011. She leads the industry’s legislative and regulatory strategy, working closely with Congress and the Administration, and has testified extensively on issues including FAA reauthorization, air traffic control modernization, aviation safety, consumer rights and infrastructure. Pinkerton is known for building broad industry and labor coalitions, including the Modern Skies Coalition, which helped secure $12.5 billion for aviation modernization in the 2025 reconciliation package.

Her career has included stints on Capitol Hill, at the Federal Aviation Administration and Price Waterhouse.
