Speaker Bio

Mark Cooper is responsible for safe and efficient operations of Canada’s air navigation services. As CEO, he leads a team of over 5,000 employees who provide air traffic control, airport advisory services, weather briefings, and aeronautical information services. Together, they help maintain the safety of millions of flights per year, across 18 million square kilometres of Canadian domestic and international airspace.
Prior to joining NAV CANADA, Mr. Cooper was a Partner with Deloitte UK where he led the global Aviation technology business including a joint venture with McLaren Formula 1. Previously he enjoyed an 18-year career with Lockheed Martin where he was the Managing Director of the Global Aviation organisation responsible for services and solutions deployed to over 100 clients worldwide across the Air Traffic Management, Airport and Airline domains.
Mr. Cooper holds an Honours degree in Physics and Computing. He currently serves as a Director of Aireon LLC and the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO). He also served as a director of the TechUK trade association from 2012 to 2017.
