Aki Lilja is Head of Strategic Development for Meteorology and Aviation at Vaisala. In this role, he shapes the future direction of Vaisala’s weather observation solutions and systems and explores emerging applications of weather information across sectors. With 30 years of experience in meteorology and weather observations, his background spans physics research on observation systems, software development management, technical sales, and product and portfolio leadership. Aki has worked extensively with airport weather observation systems, weather radars, and wind lidars, combining deep technical expertise with a strategic perspective on how weather technologies create value for customers.
