Speaker Bio

Tim Arel presently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO) and is CEO of Integrated Airspace, LLC. He is the former FAA Chief Operating Officer, where he was responsible for leading a workforce of more than 30,000 safety professionals, handling 45,000 flights per day across 29 million square miles of airspace through over 500 air traffic control facilities. Tim started his 40 year aviation safety career as an air traffic controller and rose through leadership roles in traffic management, safety, airspace security, and technical training. He has led efforts to integrate new entrants such as drones, advanced air mobility and commercial space operations, all while working tirelessly to ensure a common level of airspace safety and efficiency across the globe.
