Antidio Viguria Jiménez

Director Avionics and Systems

Master’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (funded by the prestigious Fulbright scholarship) and PhD from the University of Seville. Since 2008, he has worked at CATEC technology center in various positions, and since 2022 he has been Director of Avionics and Systems, where he nowadays manages a team of 80 engineers and technicians. He has extensive experience in the development of UAS technology (including safe integration into airspace), having participated in more than 30 European R&D projects (including the coordination of PILOTING project with a budget of 9M€) and more than 120 R&D projects in Spain over the past 18 years. He is accountable manager of CATEC UAS operator. Finally, he has been co-author of over 100 scientific publications, hold 5 patents, and currently leads SG6 within WG-105 at EUROCAE.
