Speaker Bio

Dr. Markus Biedermann has been with DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH for more than 25 years and has spent over five years in his current role as Director Operational Support. In this position, he oversees key operational, technical, and strategic areas, including operational coordination, regulatory affairs, airspace and aerodrome matters, ATS engineering, operational requirements, and operational testing and acceptance. With his background as an air traffic controller and Manager Air Traffic Services (Gatwick and Munich), he brings extensive expertise and a deep understanding of Germany’s air traffic control environment. He plays a central role in designing efficient, safety‑focused operational processes and supporting DFS’s mission to ensure safe and reliable air traffic operations. He is based at the DFS Campus in Langen and works closely with internal departments as well as national and international aviation partners.
