Stéphane Tamalet is Air-Ground Communications Expert at the Airbus Design Office. In this function, he manages different prospective projects on future airborne communication systems and aircraft radio architectures, in support of future Air Traffic Management (ATM) concepts and Airbus FANS products. He contributes to Air/Ground communications roadmaps and strategies at Aircraft level, and supports Airbus programs in their decision making process. Among his main responsibilities, he is also the representative Member for the International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations (ICCAIA) at the ICAO Communication Panel, and participates in several other international standardization Committees (EUROCAE, RTCA, AEEC).
Stéphane has led the development and certification of the ACARS and ATN Routers on the A380 and A350XWB programs. In SESAR2020, he has been solution leader for solution 61 (Hyper Connected ATM) in PJ14.
Stéphane is graduated in Computer Science Engineering from the National Institute for Applied Sciences (INSA) in Toulouse.
