Speaker Bio

Marinus de Jong is the Chairman of the Performance Review Commission of EUROCONTROL. The PRC is an independent commission to analyse the performance of the ATM-system in Europe and to make recommendations for improvement. Members of the PRC are independent experts.
Marinus de Jong worked at the Dutch Ministry of Transport at the Safety Unit. He also worked at the Unit for ATM-policy. In the past he was employed by ICAO for the implementation of the Global Air Navigation Plan. Before he was seconded to the European Commission to the Single European Sky Unit. He worked on the regulation for Network Management and he was the coordinator for European input to ICAO, in cooperation with member States, EUROCONTROL, EASA and SJU. In the past he was a member of the ICAO Air Navigation Commission.
He has a academic background in transportation research and policy and worked for the Dutch Ministry of Transport and for a research institute.
