Emmanuel Sunil received the BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft in 2011, 2014 and 2019, respectively. His PhD research focused analysing and modelling airspace capacity for UAM using a combination of fast-time simulations and mathematical models. Since 2018, Emmanuel has started working at the ATM and Airports department of the Royal Netherlands Aerospace Center (NLR). Here he works on drone airspace integration projects for both U-space (UTM) and IFR RPAS. This includes work on separation management (including detect and avoid) and on U-space weather. He contributed to the development of the Weather Information Service GM and AMCs (Article 12) for EU 2021/664 U-space implementing regulations.
