Bauer Tobias
DLR
Research Scientist
Tobias obtained his diploma in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig, where he started his career as research assistant in the fields of integrated navigation systems, especially GNSS augmentation and landing systems, and wake vortices, focussing on the flight mechanical effects on an encountering aircraft. In 2008 he joined the DLR Institute of Flight Systems as a research scientist, working on airborne wake vortex detection methods and the development of the Wake Encounter Avoidance and Advisory System (WEAA). His research interests comprise also the support of environmentally friendly approach procedures through novel pilot assistance systems such as LNAS and DYNCAT.
