In light of Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union (1 January – 30 June 2025), this high-level panel will bring together Directors General from European Civil Aviation Authorities, along with key industry leaders and stakeholders, to discuss the strategic priorities shaping the future of European aviation.
Air traffic management is fundamental to Europe’s economy, security, and safety, ensuring the efficient and protected movement of passengers and goods. As the aviation sector navigates rapid technological advancements and external pressures, a strong, coordinated approach is essential to maintaining resilience and global competitiveness.
With increasing geopolitical tensions, cybersecurity threats, and climate challenges, ensuring a resilient, competitive, and future-ready aviation sector has never been more critical. This session will explore:
• Safety & Security: How can aviation infrastructure adapt to evolving risks, including unauthorized drone activities, cyberattacks on air traffic management systems, and the need for robust safety oversight?
• Workforce & Talent Development: Addressing critical workforce shortages through a coordinated industry-wide effort.
• Modernising European Skies: Enhancing Europe’s airspace efficiency, safety, and competitiveness by embracing advanced technologies and fostering innovation.
• Airspace Management: Aligning national and EU priorities to ensure a seamless and integrated European airspace.
• Industry Collaboration: Defining the roles of ANSPs, airlines, and policymakers in shaping the future of air transport.
Organised in collaboration with the Polish Civil Aviation Authority, this discussion will provide insights into regulatory developments, strategic initiatives, and cross-industry cooperation essential to strengthening Europe’s aviation sector in a rapidly evolving global environment
