The aviation industry is at a pivotal moment. With traffic expected to double by 2045 and new airspace users — including drones, eVTOLs, and space vehicles — rapidly emerging, the current ATM system must evolve to remain a strategic enabler of global aviation.
This high-level panel will mark the official launch of the Complete Air Traffic System (CATS) Concept of Operations — a bold, industry-developed vision to guide the transformation of ATM through to 2045. Developed by the CATS Global Council, which brings together over 80 organisations from across the aviation ecosystem, the CATS CONOPS provides a practical roadmap for integrating conventional and new operations into a unified, seamless, and sustainable global airspace.
Panellists will discuss the core phases of the CATS vision — from digital infrastructure and information sharing, to advanced automation and ultimately, to a fully integrated airspace — and the strategic actions needed to get there.
