Stephanie Castonguay is the Assistant Vice President of IFR Services at NAV CANADA, leading initiatives to enhance operational excellence. Since November 2022, she has focused on integrating advanced technologies, leveraging data-driven decision-making, and optimizing processes to improve safety and efficiency in air traffic services. Previously, she served as General Manager of the Moncton FIR, overseeing daily air traffic operations and aligning regional objectives with industry standards. As Director of Flight Operations & AIM, she enhanced capacity planning, AIM processes, and regulatory compliance. As National Manager of Safety Investigations, she implemented a Risk-Based Investigations process with her investigation team, overseeing occurrence analysis and safety risk assessments. Stephanie began her NAV CANADA career in 2006 as an Air Traffic Controller in the Montreal FIR, later becoming an Operational Shift Manager. She frequently says, “Keeping Canada’s skies safe is our top priority.
