Speaker Bio

Mariya Kantareva is the First Secretary for Aviation at the Bulgarian Permanent Representation to the European Union, where she represents Bulgaria in the Council’s Aviation Working Party and leads negotiations on EU aviation legislation, including the Single European Sky and air traffic management reform.
Mariya holds a Master of Law and a Diploma in Civil Aviation Management from the Singapore Aviation Academy. With 13 years of experience in international civil aviation, she has previously served as State Liaison Officer to EUROCONTROL and Senior Policy Officer at the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport and Communications. She has represented Bulgaria at ICAO Assemblies, ECAC forums, and high-level EU institutions, consistently acting as a bridge between technical expertise and policymaking.
