Head of Innovation
Laurent Renou has served as the Head of Innovation at EUROCONTROL since March 2020, where he leads the Agency’s Innovation Hub. In this capacity, he oversees a wide range of research and innovation initiatives, including the management of EUROCONTROL’s advanced validation infrastructure and real-time simulation services, driving cutting-edge advancements in air traffic management (ATM).
Before joining EUROCONTROL, Laurent accumulated extensive experience in the aviation and technology sectors. From 2006 to 2019, he worked at Air France, where he was responsible for managing the ATM/CNS strategy and spearheading the deployment of the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Additionally, he held roles at Sopra Steria and Egis Avia, where he provided consultancy services in ATM for DSNA (French air navigation service provider) and Aéroports de Paris. Laurent also gained international experience in the United States, working with several internet companies to enhance their clients’ online presence and market competitiveness.
Laurent holds an Engineering Degree in Computer Science and Air Traffic Management (1993) and brings a deep technical and strategic expertise to his role at EUROCONTROL.
