Director of Enterprise ATM Strategy
Jon Standley is the Director of Enterprise ATM Solutions Strategy at L3Harris Technologies. In this role, Jon has overall responsibility for US and International civil air traffic management new business initiatives supporting the Mission Networks sector of L3Harris.
With over 20 years of experience in the aviation and air traffic management industries, Jon has led the prototyping and introduction of new technologies in education, training, and operations in aviation and air traffic control in the United States.
Jon has brought his commitment to fostering state-of-the-art capabilities to the L3Harris portfolio including the integration of Uncrewed Aircraft Systems, Trajectory Based Operations, and futuristic communications and information management including cloud computing and Artificial Intelligence.
Before joining L3Harris, Jon served as a Program Manager at the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration focusing on ATM technology development and prototyping for the NextGen program, as well as leading efforts in ATM system modernization.
Jon is active in industry community efforts, serving as the L3Harris lead on the Aerospace Industries Association Emerging Technologies Committee. He previously served as the Chair of the Advanced Air Mobility Subcommittee and served on the Government Affairs committee of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International.
Jon is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Air Traffic Management from the Collegiate Training Initiative program and a Master of Science degree in Project Management. He is first and foremost a licensed pilot holding ratings in single and multi-engine aircraft as well as lighter than air balloons.
