Hermizan Jumari

Hermizan Jumari is an air navigation professional with nearly three decades of experience in air traffic management. He currently serves as Deputy Director (Planning) in the Air Traffic Services Division and concurrently as Deputy Director (Plans) in the Next Generation Programme Office at the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).

In his dual roles, Hermizan oversees the implementation of air traffic management (ATM) initiatives to enhance safety, capacity, and efficiency for Singapore. He also leads the development of next-generation ATM concepts and systems, working closely with regional partners to drive innovation across the Asia Pacific, including the planning of Trajectory Based Operations (TBO).

A licensed Air Traffic Controller with ratings in Enroute Procedural and Surveillance operations, Hermizan has led major operational transitions such as Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM), Performance Based Navigation (PBN), and Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM).

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating summa cum laude.
