Speaker Bio

Achim work in aviation over the last three decades was shaped by the variety of topics, cultures and organisations he was involved with, and defined by a holistic approach driven to find the optimum solutions for all stakeholders. Prior to A4E, Achim worked as IATA Director Safety & Flight Operations in the Middle East/North Africa region (MENA), focussing on improving safety and efficiency in the region’s aviation industry. Before joining IATA in 2011, Achim worked for the Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH (DFS) as a Senior Consultant and Regional Manager.
Achim joined A4E as a Policy Director in December 2017 to manage all regulatory and technical topics around airline operations, safety, engineering and maintenance and security.
