Delivering a sustainable future

Session Overview

The envisioned Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Concept of Operations (ConOps) that will facilitate the operations of manned and unmanned aircraft in the context of urban, suburban and/or rural environments, will require a leading-edge development of technical solution and a through validation process. Although individual technologies might be mature enough to enable some elements of the whole puzzle, the integration of all of them is a real challenge. To speed up the advancement of the technologies and, most importantly, to help the validation of the integrated solution, it’d be required a comprehensive, flexible and scalable simulation infrastructure capable of emulating a variety of ConOps and regulatory requirements with high fidelity. U-Sky Sim is a Boeing development funded by the Spanish Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) whose main objective is to provide key advanced capabilities required to support those referred validations needs. The presentation will go through the most relevant features of the U-Sky Sim infrastructure trying to exemplify how this tool can be used to validated a variety of ConOps’ aspects.
