The integration of UAS operations with manned aviation within airport boundaries creates several challenges that Techno Sky is facing since 2017 as UAS Operator. Techno Sky has experimented with national CAA and ANSP an innovative system for the inspection of ILS using drone technology. The objective to use the drone for ILS inspection was fully achieved after several validation and acceptance tests at airports. Techno Sky drone solution is now running at Italian Airports for periodical ILS ground check after having obtained an operational authorization in BVLOS conditions. Other possible uses of drones at airports are in progress and Techno Sky is experimenting and working hard on them at several italian airports paving the way forward for new business cases and a more sustainable airport concept.
