2023 AGENDA

Powerhouse solutions for optimising network traffic

When

Wednesday 8 March

10:30, 45 minutes

Location

SESAR Showcase Theatre

Session Overview

The session and accompanying walking tour will present a number of ways in which SESAR partners are delivering enhanced network operations in Europe with a view to improving traffic flow and optimising capacity. These include dynamic airspace configuration, free route, flight-centric operations, as well as solutions to integrate accurate weather forecasts, and better predict traffic complexity and workload.

How to support ATCOs when dynamic airspace configurations approach (DAC) is applied?

Amela Karahasanovic, SINTEF

Flight-centric ATC and improved distribution of separation responsibility in ATC

Tobias Finck, DLR

Enhanced network operations in the context of the SESAR Deployment Programme

Ramon Raposo, SESAR Deployment Manager

4-FLIGHT: the new-generation system for air traffic en-route control in France

Patrick Souchu and Veronique Melet, DSNA

Traffic complexity assessment & simulation tool (TCAST)

Cristian Simion, Skeyes

Moderated by Oznur Uygur, SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking

Followed by a walking tour 11:15 - 12:30
